On February 27, 2023, Zhang Xiaogang, President of the Chinese Society for Metals, Tian Zhiling, Executive Vice President, Wang Xinjiang, Vice President and Secretary General and their party visited the Central Iron and Steel Research Institute(CISRI) for forum and exchange. Zhang Shaoming, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman ofCISRI, and Li Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of CISRI warmly welcomed them.

President Zhang Xiaogang expressedappreciationsto the strongly support of CISRI for the work of the Society, fully recognized the achievements made by CISRI in respects of promoting the high-quality development and scientific and technological innovation in the industry, and hoped to deepen cooperation continuously with CISRI in respects of scientific and technological innovation, key technological problem tackling, international and domestic academic exchanges, talent cultivation, etc., so as to make new contributions to promoting the high-quality development in steel industry.

As a representative of CISRI, Chairman Zhang Shaoming expressed welcome to the visit of the Chinese Society for Metals, sincerely thanked for the always strongly support and help of the Society, and hoped that the Chinese Society for Metalswould concern about and support the scientific and technological innovation of CISRI as always. He said that giving full play to its own advantages, CISRI will strengthen cooperation with the Chinese Society for Metals, deepen exchanges, and share new development opportunities, so as to create a new development situation together.

Before the forum, leaders of the Society visited the exhibition hall of CISRI. The CISRI Group Office, Department of Scientific and Technological Development and Department of Strategic Customers took part in the forum and exchange.
